Foreign employees
Helse Bergen aim to be on an international level within research, innovation and education. We wish to attract and recruit the very best talent.
The same criteria apply to foreign nationals as to Norwegian nationals when recruiting and employing staff for positions at the hospital. In addition there are some special concerns that must be considered when employing foreign workers:
- You must produce a valid residence permit and work permit if required
- You must produce a licence to practice if required
- Criminal records certificate for positions where a criminal records check is required, such as positions working with children and mentally disabled people
- Proof of vaccinations
Norwegian language proficiency
All of our employees must be able to communicate in Norwegian on a level which ensures good interaction between colleagues and proper professional practice.
