New Digital Solution for Cardiac Rehabilitation Presented in Webinar
On the 24th October, Professor Tone Merete Norekvål from Haukeland University Hospital presented the new digital cardiac rehabilitation solution, eCardiacRehab (eHjerteRehab), during a national webinar for healthcare professionals.

This research project is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at cardiac patients who often face challenges in participating in rehabilitation due to long travel distances or other obstacles.
Only 14% of Norwegian cardiac patients attend hospital-based cardiac rehabilitation, yet the need is far greater. eCardiacRehab offers patients a flexible and accessible solution, enabling them to undertake a comprehensive rehabilitation programme – including exercise – from home, at a time that suits them. With this solution, Norekvål and her team hope to reach more patients and contribute to improved health and quality of life.
The project marks an important step towards the healthcare services of the future and shows how digital solutions can make rehabilitation accessible to all.
