Haukeland University Hospital co-operates with a number of partner hospitals across the world. If you want to be part of an international partnership scheme, we will offer you support so that the programme can be conducted in the best possible way.
The Department of International Collaboration is engaged in several projects all over the world. In 2014 the department will be in charge of around 20 projects, most of them in Africa. Around 25 Haukeland employees are on secondment on projects at any one time.

Our partner hospitals are located in Ethiopia, Malawi, Tanzania and Zanzibar. A children's hospital in Nepal is also looking to co-operate with us.
The department is particularly interested in projects involving the hospital's core medical specialisms, which may include medical technology and the organisation of medical services.
