The Norwegian Directorate of Health, the Western Norway Regional Health Authority and the Norwegian Center for Blood Preparedness cordially invite you to join the Nordic Blood Preparedness meeting november 20.-21. 2024 at Solstrand Hotel & Bad, Norway.

In general
Close relationship between civilian blood services, transfusion medicine experts, defense forces and competent authorities, are needed to ensure preparedness for crises and war situations. In the meeting, we invite civilian and military stakeholders to discuss and describe the roadmap towards establishing a Nordic Collaborative Blood Preparedness Program.
Aim of meeting
To establish a coordinated and sustainable collaborative program to ensure adequate blood supply and preparedness for crisis and war in the Nordic countries.
The meeting agenda will include
The program will be updated continously.
- Barriers and benefits (regulatory and organizational aspects, access to donors, critical equipment and blood products)
- Reports from ongoing Nordic blood preparedness activities
- Discussion on future collaborative projects.

Practical information
- For registration, please use this registration form. The form includes hotel reservations. Registration deadline is August 18th 2024
- The venue for the meeting is Solstrand Hotel & Bad. By practical and social reasons, we encourage you to stay at Solstrand Hotel & Bad.
- Hotel room with breakfast will be reserved, but to be paid for by the individual at check-out. Price hotel room: Nov 19.-20.: NOK 2320,- / Nov 20.-21.:NOK 1890,- per night. Please note: The hotel reservation is binding. Cancellations after august 18th will be invoiced.
- Food during the meeting and dinners are included.
- A get-together reception will be held Tuesday evening, and the meeting starts Wednesday morning.
- The language in the meeting will be English
