Glasblokkene are centrally located in the Haukeland area, right in front of the railway stop and next to Sentralblokka. On this page you will find a map, information on how to get here and where you can park.

Glasblokkene consist of 8 blocks. Blocks 1–4 opened in 2017. Here you find, among other things, mental health care for children and youth, the Energy Center for children and youth and the hospital school.

Glasblokkene 5–8 was opened in autumn 2023. Most of the activities linked to children and youth in Haukeland are gathered here. The entire Children's and Youth Clinic is moving in, surgical outpatient clinics, radiological services and blood sampling/laboratory. A separate reception for children and youth will open in autumn 2023.

The main entrance to Glasblokkene is from the forecourt. Below you can see how to get here and where to go from public transport and car parks.

Several scheduled buses go past Haukeland. In addition, there are direct work routes between the districts and the hospital.

  • Lines 5 and 6 depart from Festplassen. 
  • Line 12 departs from Bystasjon
  • Line 16E departs from Xhibition in Småstrandgaten

There will be signs from the stop to Glasblokkene.

The nearest stop to Haukeland is the railway stop Haukeland sjukehus. The line stops north of Sentralblokka, close to the Glasblokkene, in the Haukeland area. It takes a couple of minutes to walk from the stop, up Haukelandsbakken and to Glasblokkene.

The parking area in Glasblokkene is located in U1 with access from Haukelandsbakken. Here there are both normal spaces and charging spaces for electric cars, in addition there are two HC spaces and 6 spaces for MC.

There are also five HC spaces outside in the forecourt between blocks 1–4 and 5–8. Here it is possible to drive in and drop off patients/relatives. Apart from the HC spaces, it is not permitted to park here.

The nearest parking is in Sentralblokka, where there are 300+ parking spaces. There are walkways from Sentralblokka to Glasblokkene both outside and inside. The walkways are marked.

Due to the few parking spaces in the Haukeland area, we encourage everyone who can to use public transport.

There is a separate ambulance entrance with entry from Jonas Lies vei (the road between Glasblokkene and Sentralblokka). This must also be used by the women in labour arriving to give birth.

Other patients arriving to the reception in Glasblokken by car, in emergency situations, can also use this entrance. The ambulance entrance must only be used for disembarking. Cars must be parked in the parking area inside.  There will be reserved parking spaces for patients who come to the reception due to an acute illness.
