​The project "Personalized maxillofacial bone regeneration" by Kamal Mustafa and his research team was extended for another four years. In this outstanding clinical trial the reconstruction of bone with stem cells and matrix materials is developed and tested. So far all participating patients were treated successfully and the maxillofacial bones could be regenerated to an extend that it was possible to implant new teeth in previously weak bone tissue.
